This NSC course focuses on how to protect employees from blood and airborne pathogens and what to do if exposure occurs. Participants will learn

  • Introduction to bloodborne pathogens
  • Bloodborne pathogens including hepatitis viruses and HIV
  • Preventing infection from bloodborne pathogens
  • Airborne pathogens including tuberculosis
  • Proven steps to reduce exposure and prevent infection
  • Exposure control plans
