In honor of this week CSA is offering Slips, Trips and Falls in Construction on Monday, May 7th

Safety Shoe Demo: 10:30 am to 11:00 am

Slips, trips and falls are a leading cause of injuries in the construction industry. While the focus on prevention is largely directed at falls from heights, the reality is that there are a number of other sources for slips, trips and falls, including housekeeping, walking/working surfaces, floor loading, open holes and unprotected edges, ladders, scaffolds, lifts, and construction equipment. This course will introduce attendees to the risks, and will provide best practices for reducing or eliminating the risks to workers.

Our discussion will also include the role of appropriate footwear to reduce the risk of slips and trips in various working conditions. To address this important topic, we’ve invited the experts from Work Wear Safety Shoes to join us. Their Regional Director, Andy Abols will be on-hand for the discussion and will provide a demo from their shoemobile.
