As an employer there are steps you can take to mitigate risks posed by OSHA investigations and third-party civil lawsuits. This segment will discuss tactics and strategies you can take during an OSHA investigation to mitigate citations and penalties and the potential for third-party civil lawsuits for work-related injuries.

Jennifer Jaskolka is Assistant General Counsel at Xcel Energy, a Fortune 500 company providing gas and electric services to customers in eight states. She handles Occupational Safety and Health legal issues for all Xcel Energy operating companies. Ms. Jaskolka received her JD from the University of Nebraska College of Law and completed her undergraduate degree in Occupational Safety and Health in November 2017 with high honors.

Robin Repass is a shareholder in the Denver and San Francisco offices of Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C., a management side Labor and Employment Law firm providing coverage throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. Ms. Repass advises and defends clients in workplace safety issues arising under the Occupational Safety and Health Act and Employment Law issues under federal, California, Colorado, and Wyoming law. Prior to joining Ogletree, Ms. Repass was Associate General Counsel (Safety) for SolarCity and Managing Counsel of Global Environmental, Health, and Safety for Tesla, Inc. Ms. Repass received her J.D from the University of Tennessee College of Law.
